About Embodied Carbon
We believe that anyone can be ‘green’, but being carbon neutral is something very specific and measurable. At First Industrial we pledge that unless specified by the customer, all our buildings will be carbon neutral as standard.
The most important time to consider embodied carbon reduction is at the design stage, where low carbon materials and methods of procurement can be selected. We believe sustainability needs to be integral to the design of the building and not an ‘after market add-on’.
Which is why, rather than being offered as a desirable extra, all our buildings will be Carbon Neutral.
